According to the reported result information, Paper 1 recorded an 80.07% pass percentage, while 71.85% of candidates who appeared for Paper 2 qualified. The examination was conducted over three days across centres in Uttar Pradesh.

UPTET has two examination levels. Paper 1 is for candidates seeking eligibility to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for Classes 6 to 8. Candidates applying for both levels must satisfy the requirements of both papers.

UPTET Paper 1 Eligibility

Candidates generally need the prescribed academic qualification together with an approved primary-level teacher-training qualification. Accepted combinations may involve Senior Secondary, D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, D.Ed or another qualification recognized under the notification.

UPTET Paper 2 Eligibility

Candidates generally require graduation together with an approved teacher-training qualification. Relevant qualifications may include B.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, B.A.Ed, B.Sc.Ed or another qualification recognized under the applicable rules.

UPTET is an eligibility examination and does not operate like a direct recruitment vacancy. The age limit for a future teaching appointment will depend on the notification of that particular recruitment.

Qualifying UPTET does not automatically make a candidate eligible for every government teacher vacancy. Academic qualifications, age, category and other requirements must be checked separately.

Child Development and Pedagogy

Child development, learning, individual differences, inclusive education, learning difficulties, child-centred education, teaching processes, assessment and evaluation.

Languages

Language comprehension, grammar, communication skills and language-teaching methodology for Language I and Language II.

Mathematics

Number system, arithmetic, geometry, measurement, fractions, algebra, data handling and mathematics pedagogy.

Environmental Studies

Family, food, shelter, water, travel, plants, animals, environment, basic science and EVS pedagogy.

Mathematics and Science or Social Studies

Paper 2 candidates answer the applicable subject section. Social Studies includes history, geography, civics, social and political life and pedagogy.

The eligibility certificate establishes that a candidate has qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test. It is different from a teacher appointment letter.

Qualified candidates should preserve their scorecard and eligibility certificate for future recruitment applications. Current reporting states that the lifetime eligibility certificate can be obtained through DigiLocker.

Qualifying UPTET does not directly provide a government teaching job. Candidates can use their qualification when applying for teaching recruitments where UPTET is prescribed.

A subsequent recruitment may have separate conditions relating to academic qualification, teacher training, age, category, experience, written examination, merit and document verification.
