UPESSC UP Primary Teacher Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 12,405 Posts

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, invites online applications under Advertisement No. 05/2026 to fill 12,405 Assistant Teacher vacancies across basic primary educational institutions throughout Uttar Pradesh. The recruitment includes positions in Urban Area Primary Schools under the Basic Education Department and Affiliated Primary Sections in Non-Government Aided Schools under the Secondary Education Department.

Prescribed Educational Qualifications

• Academic Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a university incorporated by law in India or a state-recognized equivalent institution.
• Professional Teacher Training: Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / B.T.C.) OR 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• Teacher Eligibility Test: Must have qualified the Primary Level Teacher Eligibility Test (Classes 1 to 5) conducted either by the State Government (UPTET Paper I) or Central Government (CTET Paper I).

Age Criteria

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years (Up to 62 Years for Aided School cadre where applicable as per service rules)
• Age Cutoff Date: Calculated strictly as on 01 July 2026.
• Upper Age Relaxation: Standard upper-age relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC (5 years), Divyangjan (15 years), and Shiksha Mitras in accordance with UP State Government service provisions.

• Active Mobile Number and Email ID for OTR profile creation and validation.
• Recent passport-sized colored photograph with light background.
• Scanned signature image on white paper with black/blue ink.
• Class 10th (High School) marksheet and certificate for age verification.
• Graduation mark sheets and final degree certificate.
• D.El.Ed / B.T.C. / B.El.Ed marksheet and training certificate.
• Valid UPTET / CTET Primary Level (Paper-I) marksheet and qualifying certificate.
• Valid government-issued photo ID proof (such as Voter ID, PAN Card, or Passport).
• Domicile and Caste / Category / EWS Certificate issued by competent UP authorities (for quota claims).
